Junior’s Hockey
Junior Hockey Mandurah & Peel Region
Peel Hockey Association’s junior programs and competitions are played locally at the 1 venue, the home ground of hockey in Mandurah and the Peel Region, The Sporting Globe Stadium (Mandurah Hockey Stadium) in Halls Head.
Games are played on synthetic turf and/or grass on Peelwood Reserve. Our junior programs and competitions are divided into school year age groups starting at Pre-Primary progressing through to Year 12.

Play in a Peel Hockey Association Junior Competition
To join a Junior competition, simply select the school year age group suited to your child.

School Years 1 – 4
Goldstix Program
Goldstix is the introductory and bridging program to traditional club hockey (Junior Competitions) providing participants first experience within a modified game format while providing a fun and safe environment to develop and learn the fundamentals of hockey.
Recommended for school years 1 to 4 (Pre-primary students turning 6 this year permitted)
Teams are created in 2 age groups:
- Year 1-2’s (5 to 7-a-side)
- Year 3-4’s (7 to 9-a-side)
This program is held on a choice of days:
- Tuesday’s 4.00pm to 5.00pm
- Saturday’s 10.30am to 11.30am

School Years 5 – 6
J 5-6 Competition
Peel Hockey Association’s junior competitions provide a structured game format, allowing participants to play in a competitive environment against teams from other local clubs and participating school based teams.
Playing a traditional game format, the J 5-6 competition creates mixed gender teams of 11 to 16-a-side. Teams generally hold 1 x training session per week at The Sporting Globe Stadium (Mandurah Hockey Stadium). Training nights vary between clubs.
Suitable for school Years 5 to 6 (experienced Year 4’s permitted)
Game night is:

School Years 7 – 9
J 7-9 Competition
Peel Hockey Association’s junior competitions are a structured format game of hockey allowing participants to play in a competitive environment against teams from other local club and participating school based teams.
Playing a traditional game format, the J 7-9 competition creates mixed gender teams of 11 to 16-a-side. Teams generally hold 1 x training session per week at The Sporting Globe Stadium (Mandurah Hockey Stadium). Training nights vary between clubs.

School Years 10 – 12
J 10-12 Competition
